ENACT: Empowering Climate Literacy and Action

ENACT aims to create a climate literate society by disseminating knowledge. We need to understand the significance of the impact of climate change on us as individuals, on the places we live, and on the industries we work in.

Climate change is not just an environmental issue, it's a human issue. When we hear “climate change,” we often think of global warming, melting ice caps, and renewable energy. But it's so much more than that. The climate discourse now includes human rights, displacement, gender, labor, and even seemingly unrelated sectors like stock markets, intellectual property rights, real estate, insurance, banks, the fashion industry, sports, and mental health. This is where ENACT – Enabling Necessary Action through Climate Talk comes in.

ENACT: Bridging the Gap

ENACT is a forum designed to help people understand the far-reaching implications of climate change. The Global Climate Risk Index by German Watch has identified India as the 5th most vulnerable country to climate change. As a developing country, India cannot afford to ignore the disruptive nature of climate change. We need to take drastic, transformative steps to tackle climate change and push the boundaries of conventional climate change discussion.

Building a Climate Literate Society

ENACT aims to create a climate literate society by disseminating knowledge. We need to understand the significance of the impact of climate change on us as individuals, on the places we live, and on the industries we work in. ENACT is committed to helping develop a better understanding of various contemporary issues at both local and global levels. We use research in science, economics, and law as tools to find solutions.

Towards a Sustainable Future

Ultimately, ENACT aims to build a sustainable world for all living beings. This starts with a shift in human behavior and our capacity to make such a transition. Once we cross the threshold, there is no turning back. But all hope is not lost. Let’s work together to make this Earth a better place to live.
